Swara posted new close up pictures sharing the details of the outfit. It featured Swara in a beige, heavily embroidered lehenga. She paired it with a chunky matha patti and a nose ring. Fahadh chose a golden kurta teamed with a white sherwani and white-golden dupatta to complete the look.
While some photos showed them posing solo in their looks, some had them together at the reception venue. Swara wrote, “My Walima outfit from Lahore via Dubai-Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marveled at the talent of #AliXeeshan #AliXeeshanTheatreStudio When I called her with the idea of wearing her work at @Walima, her warmth and generosity made me admire her in person. 1 / n.
“Ali Zeeshan not only sent pairs of outfits for @FahadZirarAhmad and me, but also painstakingly customized them with personal details and messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My cross-border bestie @Natrani came to our rescue and enabled the outfits to reach Dubai,” she continued and added, “Annie from across the border saved me in distress. Ali, who has never met me and lives in Lahore, sent me my dream outfit for the wedding finale! Makes me realize that love and friendship cannot be bound by boundaries and borders. Feeling blessed and grateful.
Reacting to the look, a user wrote, “Congratulations ma’am. At least someone is worried about Pakistan’s poor economy.” “Swara ma’am you are looking gorgeous. Congratulations,” added another. Some even criticized her for not choosing an Indian designer.
Swara is married to Fahad, who is the state president of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha – the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party. The two registered their marriage and got engaged in January this year. They met during a rally in 2020 and fell in love.
The couple recently tied the knot in Delhi and hosted a series of wedding festivities including haldi, mehendi and a sangeet night from their respective religions. Many political leaders attended their wedding reception.
