actor Sonam Kapoor Celebrated her first Mother’s Day in the UK with a lavish dinner party and shared some glimpses of the celebrations as well as their newly built home. Sonam shared several pictures from the get together with her friends. She also revealed how her home was decorated ‘inspired by the colors of spring’. Sonam also said that the ‘incredibly talented desi’ people were behind the makeover.
Sonam also shared her pictures on her Instagram on Monday night, in which she was dressed in red and black. They struck different poses while smiling for the camera. In the initial few pictures, Sonam posed near a green sofa and even sat on it. Several paintings were kept behind it.
She also caught a glimpse of the table which was decorated with yellow colored candles and colorful flowers along with cutlery. The brightly colored orange wall was decorated with balloons. Sonam also took a closer look at the menu which had a number of dishes. The last picture shows several snack trays and bowls placed on the table near a flower pot.
Sonam captioned the post, “Spending Mothering Sunday or (Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom) with my friends and ushering in the new season by decorating my house inspired by the colors of spring. Everything done at home Well done in a fabulous way.” By the incredibly talented Desi!
Responding to the post, Anand wrote, “Can I have a tag on slide 7 please… Not because I did anything here, but because it bears my name.” He also added, “Ps looking (fire emojis) @sonamkapoor … stylin’; vibin’.” His mother Sunita Kapoor posted a red heart emoji.
Recently, Anand dedicated a special post to Sonam on Instagram on the occasion of Mother’s Day. She penned a long heartfelt message, which read, “I must admit, and Sonam can attest, that emotional/social awareness is not really my strength. As a result, it has really taken me to see that @sonamkapoor What have you done in the past?” It takes 17 months (and actually even more) to be a full-time mom to truly understand the level of commitment and selflessness it takes to ensure the best emotional and physical health of yourself and your baby.
“In an age when we have all become accustomed to the immediate reward system, committing to motherhood really means giving endlessly over and above that system. As she navigates making sure our son receives all the love, learning and blessings from our large family as he slowly comes to terms with our inherited wealth and develops into the most unique individual without the burden of any expectations,” he concluded.
Sonam and Anand got married on 8 May 2018 after dating for several years. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy Vayu, on August 20, 2022, in Mumbai. Sonam will next be seen in the upcoming film Blind directed by Shome Makhija, starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in lead roles.
