The actor made his film debut with a small role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rann (2010) and was later cast as the lead in Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010). In previous interactions with the media, Rajkummar spoke about being often dismissed as a hero because of his looks, height and even build. Once he was rejected because of the shape of his eyebrows.

Accha hai, log baat kar rahe hai.”

In 2013, he won the National Film Award for Best Actor for the biopic Shahid directed by Hansal Mehta. He played the role of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi, who was murdered in Mumbai in 2010. Last year, he was praised for his performance as a close-knit police officer in Badhaai Do.

The actor was last seen in Vasan Bala neo-noir thriller Monica O My Darling alongside Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, Sikandar Kher and Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor. It was released on Netflix on November 11, 2022.

He will also be seen in Dharma Productions’ Mr. and Mrs. Mahi alongside Janhvi Kapoor and will star in industrialist Srikanth Bolla’s biopic Shree, which is slated to release later this year.

He is also starring in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming period drama series Guns N’ Roses. Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh ​​Gaurav are also a part of the Netflix series.
