Actress Keerthy Suresh, who is gearing up for the release of upcoming Telugu film Dussehra, gifted 130 gold coins to the film crew on the last day of the shoot. The film’s publicist told HT that Keerthy gave a gold coin to each of the 130 crew members, including drivers and light boys. “Yes, it is true that Kirti ma’am gifted gold coins to every crew member on Dussehra. This also includes drivers and light boys. However, I am not sure about the value of the gold coins and if they are worth Rs. 70 lakhs,” he said.
Keerthy plays a character named Vennela in Dussehra. She is paired opposite Nani in the film, which is directed by Odella Srikanth. As per a report in Indian Express, she gifted a 10 gram gold coin to each member and it cost Rs. 70 lakhs.
Dasara is set against the backdrop of the Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana. Nani recently described it as “pure raw, rustic and adrenaline-rush of a film”.
Speaking at the teaser launch, Nani said: “Last year, RRR came from Telugu cinema. KGF and Kantara come from Kannada cinema. I can say with confidence and with great pride that Dussehra will come from Telugu cinema in 2023.
Originally shot in Telugu, Dussehra is set to release in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on March 30. It also stars Keerthy Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles.
Nani has high hopes from this film. He recently said in a press conference that Dussehra will be a career-defining film for him. “For many who have said that I don’t work out of my comfort zone, this would be the answer. This is a project I have high hopes for and I am sure the audience will not be disappointed.”
