black pink‘s agency YG Entertainment issued a statement to those spreading ‘false’ rumors regarding member Rose. Recently rumors of drug abuse against Rose surfaced online. Rose Controversy ensued when Riccardo Tisci, former chief creative officer of Burberry, posted photos online with her. His photo sparked a variety of rumours, including claims of drugs in the background of the photo. Ricardo deleted the post.
In a new statement, as cited by Soompi, YG Entertainment said, “This is YG Entertainment. We reveal that the rumors regarding BLACKPINK’s fasting that have been circulating in various online communities, social media, etc. are clearly false information. We are taking legal action against our agency for defaming and violating the artist’s human rights. We are currently monitoring those creating and spreading rumours, and will take strict legal action in future without any leniency or redress.”
In addition to the drug abuse rumors, the photos of Rose shared by Ricardo also fueled the rumors of their dating. In one photo, she was seen with actor Kang Dong Won. Kang Dong Won made his TV debut in 2003 with kashmir drama Country princess. He is best known for The Temptation of the Wolf.
Meanwhile, Blackpink is currently gearing up for the Coachella 2023 music festival. They will hold major performances on April 15 and April 22. Joining them at the fest will be Rosalia, Charli XCX, Kid LaRoi, Remy Wolf, Diljit Dosanjh and Labrynth.
In addition, the girls of Blackpink are keeping pace with their ongoing Born Pink World Tour, covering Chicago, London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and more. On Friday, Blackpink’s official Twitter account posted a six-second teaser announcing their return to North America. They will perform at Dodgers Stadium, Los Angeles and Oracle Park, San Francisco. The exact dates are expected to be announced soon.
Starting on October 15, 2022, until June 21, 2023, the Born Pink Tour was Blackpink’s return to action after nearly two years. His last album was released in October 2020.
